Job Description:
The Director is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight of the administrative and operational activities of a comprehensive Registration and Academic Records Office. Setting the vision for a state-of-the art and forward-thinking office, the Director will guide, support and mentor a committed staff and foster a culture of inclusion, equity, open communication, and service. Reporting to the Vice President for Student Success, Analytics and Integrated Planning, the Director oversees a broad portfolio of functions including: curriculum records management; course management and scheduling; student registration and enrollment; grading; official university transcripts; official transfer credit evaluation; degree conferment; enrollment verification and reporting; residency, reciprocity, specialized tuition and global partner enrollment verifications; academic athletic eligibility certification; Veteran enrollment verification; and student academic record management and retention.

Required Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree (conferred on an official transcript at the time of application).

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive professional experience.

  • Professional experience in registration and academic records functions and services.

  • Demonstrated ability to advance a diverse, inclusive and equitable working and learning environment.

  • Demonstrated leadership of a multi-faceted office.

  • Demonstrated effective supervision and leadership of professional staff.

  • Demonstrated evidence of leading complex change and the ability to develop strategies and implement action to achieve results.

  • Demonstrated exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and service provider skills.

  • Demonstrated experience using complicated student information systems and/or relational databases to perform job functions.

  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with multiple constituents and administrative or academic offices.

  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Other Requirements:
Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.

Based on the essential functions of this positions, MMB Policy #1422, and University policies relating to flexible work, this position is eligible for the following work modes. Please Note: Work modes are at the discretion of management and implemented in accordance with the previously mentioned policies.
  • Case by Case/Situational Telework: A position that may include a temporary reassignment or work outside the permanent/principal work location to meet short-term needs. Up to 20% of the time.

Occasional evening and weekend work.
