Job Summary

A-Lert Construction Services is seeking a Director of Skilled Craft Training at our Cedar Rapids, IA location. The Director of Skilled Craft Training will be responsible for:

  • Administrating the NCCER craft training program according to all NCCER and company policies
  • Overseeing the setup and maintenance of certified instructors and curricula for employee craft training
  • Ensuring that all training locations and instructors have appropriate facilities, curriculum and equipment
  • Reviewing and approving employee certification training submissions

Minimum Qualifications

A qualified individual must either:

  • Have two years' experience as a trainer, instructor, or educator OR
  • Have an associate degree or higher in education, a construction-related field, industrial arts, engineering, chemistry or similar field OR
  • Have a minimum of two years' experience at a supervisory level or higher in the construction and/or maintenance industries

Other Requirements

  • Upon hire, successfully complete NCCER Master Trainer Certification Program and pass all required tests
  • Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, customer security check, E-Verify, motor vehicle record, and other assessments if applicable
