Clinical Counselor- LCSW/LCPC/LPHA - FULL Time/Part Time
Job Title:
Required Drug Screening
LPHA (Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts)
Conducts basic assessments for psychological services and the promotion of behavioral change, to patients presenting in primary care with concerns ranging from psychosocial considerations to physical and mental health concerns. In doing so, engages in activities such as interviewing patients, families, and other appropriate personnel in order to obtain information regarding patient's personal, medical, and mental health history.
Job duties would include:
- Work with Individuals with a dual diagnosis (mental health & intellectual disability).
- Conduct evaluations and clinical assessments
- Certify diagnosis and recommendation of treatment for persons with a mental illness
- Facilitate groups
- Write treatment plans.
- Sign off on QMHP & MHP work
- Selects, administers and interprets self-report questionnaires.
- Collaborates with other treatment team members as necessary (i.e., patient, family members, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, care managers, psychiatrists, medical office assistants, etc., in order to provide optimum treatment planning.
- Monitors patients' progress and requests input, revising treatment plans as necessary.
REQUIRED Qualifications:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Practice Counselor (LCPC)
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work or Counseling
- Experience with an emphasis on evidenced based therapy skills for individuals and groups
- Analytical skills necessary in order to assess life-threatening situations regarding potential suicides, homicides and child abuse and take appropriate action
- Ability to administer, score and interpret self-report questionnaires
- Provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the unit
- Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional and psychosocial needs of the patient population served.
- Knowledge of principles of psychology, human development and behavior, and psychological treatment procedures
- Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in individual counseling.
- Clinic setting experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
