DESCRIPTION

Hi, compadre. We’re looking for a seasoned Director of Strategy with extensive experience providing leadership and direction to a team of strategists through a deep understanding of the strategic planning, ideation, and implementation process.

Compadre develops brand identities and marketing campaigns for clients in the entertainment industry (and beyond), but there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes before we can bring those things to life. That’s where you come in. You’ll lead a team of strategists and partner with stakeholders to oversee the agency’s various strategic assignments, all while building trusted client relationships. In addition to supporting Compadre’s strategic services, you’ll also supervise the formulation of effective creative marketing, and the right candidate will build upon a track record of elevating large and small brands through meaningful insights.

KEY DUTIES

• Define internal strategy approach and lead strategists in the creation of strategic deliverables ranging from brand positioning, messaging hierarchy, creative briefs/decks, audience profiles, and consumer journeys
• Shape and guide the implementation of strategic process across the agency
• Partner with and mentor strategists to ensure strategic deliverables translate across client needs, while also contributing to their professional growth at the agency
• Synthesize intake findings from both qualitative and quantitative research
• Collaborate with creative and interdisciplinary teams to develop presentation narratives
• Review and provide feedback to ensure creative work ladders up to strategy through execution

ABOUT YOU

• 7+ years experience
• Experience in the entertainment and/or sports industry
• Strategic leader with a proven ability to lead a strategy team and deliver compelling, integrated strategies
• Diverse set of strategic skills with a strong, creative perspective and a deep knowledge of research frameworks
• Experience interfacing with and presenting to C-suite level clients
• Familiar with Google Workspace and Keynote
