We are currently seeking a Director of Supplier Management to join our Denver Branch. This is a critical role within the organization and will manage a team up to 15. The mission of this department is to ensure the proper bundle of products at the best costs to support rapid profitable growth. He/she will own the division’s supplier programs including vendor negotiations and relationships, while driving execution and standards.
This role has a direct impact to maximize bottom-line returns.

Responsibilities:- Partner with key stakeholders, regional leaders, and site management to understand procurement needs
- Cultivate critical relationships with suppliers and Network Group Procurement Organization; become integral contact in the company’s supplier-distribution network
- Provide guidance on vendor and product lines to local purchasing teams to help expand product offerings to support sales growth as well as maximize synergies and rebates
- Maintain strategic vendor relationships and participate in vendor negotiations
- Define and lead cost savings synergy opportunities, including SKU/vendor rationalization, vendor negotiations, e-auctions, etc.
- Establish requirements, scope, and criteria to drive cost-savings initiatives and optimization projects
- Day-to-day vendor relationship management and product support
- Design reporting used to track ongoing program initiatives while communicating to key stakeholders
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and become an integral contact person for them
- Educate internal stakeholders about preferred suppliers to optimize sourcing strategies
- Own the company’s supplier rebate program management team & process – supplier negotiations (industry-best terms), contract management, harmonization efforts, optimized collections, and comprehensive reporting
- Manage various rebate projects to lower costs / increase margins and collaborate with other teams to collaborate in defining purchasing strategy by supplier
- Drive execution across numerous rebate systems/tools for rebates earned by over 200 suppliers
- Coordinate execution of rebate synergies & supplier program harmonization efforts
- Lead the identification, tracking and execution of year-end growth rebates, working with supply chain on ‘buy-ins’ to achieve maximum rebate payment while considering system constraints and other risks
- In general, generate insight and drive outcomes by challenging assumptions, scoping, and framing problems, and analyzing and delivering solutions
- Collaborate with Regional Sales members to balance strategic vendor relationships and cost reduction initiatives against customer preferences
- Executive level presentations and special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or related field of study
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in design, development & implementation of supplier programs
- Vendor negotiations experience
- Strong Management experience, direct reports required
- MS Office, Excel fluency
- Ability to handle change and meet deadlines in a very fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Results-oriented, highly motivated
