For residents based in CA, NY, or NJ, the expected pay scale this role is $190k to $210k, which may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic area (if applicable), and internal equity for the role.

Responsibilities:
The Role…
Leads, manages, and develops the Warehouse, Logistics, and Inventory Control, and Deployment processes. Owns 3PL warehouse and logistics operations, dimensionalizes and resolves issues, develops and analyzes contracts and rate structures, and manages cost performance against budget targets. Drives top-tier freight service performance, cost savings, process improvements and best practices. Thought leader on the long-term organization and network planning to meet future growth. Relies on experience and judgment to plan work and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected and required.

Lead, Manage, & Develop Team: 30% of Time
- Provide thought leadership in the development of team’s strategic initiatives and objectives.
- Lead and develop optimal organizational capabilities and structure to deliver the strategic objectives and daily service requirements
- Effectively manage and develop members of your team, to enhance our corporate culture and support the growth of individual team members, the team, and the company
Build What’s Next/Continuous Improvement: 20% of Time
- Develop and implement warehouse network and deployment strategy
- Leads process improvement teams on major warehouse business initiatives with internal and external parties
- Continuously seek opportunities to apply automation to all warehouse transactions
- Provides leadership for warehousing function; raising the standard of performance to meet the goals of internal and external Customers
- Scope industry technology to determine applications which may need to be procured
- SME that represents multiple functional interests for innovation projects
3rd Party Logistics & Cost Management: 20% of Time
- Define a strategic vision for the department with a focus on execution, growth, and cost controls
- Ensure the right balance of transportation solutions is utilized in all markets, creating a flexible and hybrid network that delivers high service levels and competitive costs.
- Partner with Data Science team to identify opportunity to optimize the transportation network for cost and service, leveraging data-driven decision-making to deliver results and align with overall transportation and logistics strategy.
- Manage and direct the business relationships with 3PL providers, navigating issues and negotiating solutions to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Own On-Time Delivery performance, analysis, problem identification and solutions – integrating CSRs, DCs and carriers.
- Lead 3PL DC operations: OS&Ds, inventory accuracy, repacking, rates, item set-up, bids, (currently eight 3PL DC providers and ten locations).
- Lead management of freight carriers: performance, rates, bids (six+ carriers and 3PL providers).
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with customers and other stakeholders (Operations, Sales, Accounting, Marketing, third-party logistics providers, sales brokers, etc.).
- Work closely with Finance to monitor and measure logistics costs and expenses, identifying opportunities to unlock savings and grow scope of services.
- Coordinate with Supply Planning, Finance, Co-Man Ops, Quality, and other internal departments to cross-functionally resolve elevated issues.
Deployment Operations: 15% of Time
- Lead deployment function to ensure product availability at warehouses for optimal fill rate
- Collaborate closely with the Supply Planners to ensure that released product deploys quickly and efficiently to downstream distribution centers
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Service when allocation of new releases is required
- Collaborate closely with IT and o9 when issues occur with EDI or o9 reports
Manager Inventory Control: 15% of Time
- Collaborate closely with the Supply Planners to ensure that released product deploys quickly and efficiently to downstream distribution centers
- Collaborate with IT team when EDI transactions are not working as expected
What are we looking for?
Education:
- BS in Business/Operations/Engineering, or Supply Chain
Experience:
- 7+ years’ experience within fast-moving, Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
- Experience with two or more supply chain functions (Planning, Procurement/Sourcing, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Warehousing)
- 3+ years' experience managing teams
Skills:
- Strong people leader, excelling in hiring, developing, promoting, and differentiating performance
- Strategic thought leader that can also implement
- Creative problem solver and logical decision maker
- Contract negotiation
- Supply chain network design
- Handle diverse and complex customer interactions and issues, coordinating with internal and external cross-functional teams to solve challenges and meet/exceed customer expectations
- Ability to exercise judgment and handle ambiguity within generally defined practices and policies selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Ability and willingness to travel
