Scrape, stack, rack, wash and put away dishes. Operate dishwashing machine.

Perform other duties as requested by manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain proper levels of silverware, dishes, trays and cups in the dining room.
• Gather dirty dishes throughout the shift.
• Take proper temperature readings of dish machine and report any problems immediately to supervisor
• Cleanliness of dishwashing area—including the machine, tables, floors, and garbage cans.
• Report to work on time and follow company policies regarding personal appearance and uniform policy.
• Follow posted instructions for cleaning and de-liming machine, this is to be done every Wednesday and Saturday.
• Every Friday the tray rollers need to be removed with assistance from utility worker and area power washed
• Power wash the machine, floors and walls at the end of each shift.
• Ensure dishes, utensils and pans are clean and dry before putting them out for service.
• Change gloves frequently when changing duties and as needed.
• Gloves must be worn at all times when handling clean dishes and restocking the dining room
• Perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Always check with a manager to make sure that all duties are performed before leaving at the end of your shift
• Follow job assignments for each shift.
• Do not block hand sinks at any time with carts.

Essential Physical-Mental Functions And Environmental Conditions

• Must possess the ability to read and speak English.
• Report for work at the scheduled time in proper uniform.
• Accurately prioritize work assignment for yourself in order to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner to meet service needs.
• You must be able to lift 50 lbs. of weight and be able to place it at various heights for storage and service needs.
• Work with a minimum amount of supervision.
• You must be able to perform repetitive functions and repeated lifting, pushing, and carry items that weigh 50 lbs.
• When working in an environment that has equipment that may cut, burn or otherwise harm yourself or your staff, you must be aware of their safety and ability to perform in these areas, making your supervisors aware of any unsafe action or condition.
• Clean and maintain your work area at all times, scheduling special cleaning projects with your supervisor for down times.

At times, the facility may be shorthanded. You may be required to fill in and you may perform tasks that are not part of normal function but are essential to the operation. When this situation occurs you may not leave your assigned service area until you are relieved or the service has been completed and the area properly cleaned. I will not leave our Department until our service functions have been completed or I have been relieved.
