Flight Dispatcher

JOB SUMMARY: The Dispatcher will perform the daily tasks and operations of dispatch. The dispatcher will assist other departments as needed. Dispatcher will maintain the dispatch desk and Pilot shop, keeping it cleaned, organized, and running smoothly throughout their shift.

Essential Functions:

● Dispatch and ramp in flights, simulators, and orals in a timely manner

● Add money to student accounts

● Monitor aircraft discrepancies and inspections and report them to Maintenance

● Communicate with Lead Dispatcher to order dispatch supplies

● Assist transient customers with payments

● Responsible for the transactions of the Pilot Shop

● Record and charge Late Check-In’s to student account

● Clean and organize the FBO

● Restock the Pilot Shop

● Assist walk-up customers with any questions regarding Epic Flight Academy

● Answer phones and transfer customer calls to the respective employee

● Follow all opening and closing dispatch procedures

Qualifications:

● Good interpersonal skills

● Basic aviation knowledge

● Ability to multitask

● Basic knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office and Google Drive

● College degree preferred, but not required

● Effective communication skills between employees and customers

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands, to reach and lift, also to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel and crouch. Occasionally the lead dispatcher may assist with the Parts or Ground Support department and may need to lift up to 20 pounds.

Equipment Requirements: A computer.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly needs a computer, internet, ETA, TFBO, a telephone, and radio. The Quickbooks platforms are also necessary for performing the duties of dispatch.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
