Summary

Lidl US is ready to break ground on construction of our new Regional Distribution Centers. We’re seeking a Distribution Center Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for strategically managing all equipment and the warehouse facility in accordance with state and federal legal requirements. As a Distribution Center Maintenance Manager the role also includes the management, preparation, and implementation of maintenance plans and budget. You will have the unique opportunity to train alongside our construction teams and throughout the build out of the distribution center, to fully understand your facility from ground up.


**This position commutes between regional offices and/or distribution centers more than 50% of the time during the training period and less than 25% of the time post training and will be based out of a new Distribution Center to be built in Covington, GA**

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for maintaining the operational success and safety of a fast-paced, complex distribution center while managing department productivity and minimizes costs
  • Manages all repairs, maintenance schedules, material handling equipment, spare parts for assets and equipment, installations of equipment, and other projects as needed.
  • Advocate for ensuring safety standards, including regular checks of pallet racking, forklifts, building conditions, HVAC; implements changes to achieve cost-effective, long-term solutions
  • Manages maintenance team including coaching and training of associates and warehouse staff as it relates to maintenance standards.
  • Manages external vendors, including negotiations, timelines, budget, quality; able to prepare and review Requests for Proposals form contractors for services and repairs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years of experience in building maintenance, including but not limited to, appliance repair, HVAC, Refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and preventative maintenance
  • In lieu of degree, 3 - 5 years of direct relatable experience will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
  • Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in project management and budget management
  • This position commutes between regional offices and/or distribution centers more than 50% of the time during the training period and less than 25% of the time post training
  • US Driver’s License
