About the Opportunity
The Division Coordinator will support the content division to achieve departmental objectives on-time and within budget by providing a wide variety of office functions including the daily administrative, travel and business operations for the division. Reporting to the Chief Content Officer and supporting content division leaders, this role is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks from optimizing office operations and procedures, managing supply requisitions, scheduling content division meetings, and maintaining office administrative systems. This role provides support to the Business Manager on the financial operations of the department by leading the implementation of project request forms, routing contracts for signature, coordinating contract implementation, and processing travel reimbursements and other types of invoices, as needed. Strong written and verbal communications skills are essential for this role as the Division Coordinator works cross-functionally with internal collaborators and external partners for finance, contracts, and scheduling on behalf of the content division. Given this role supports numerous individuals with a multitude of projects simultaneously, attention to detail and quality of work is essential along with strong project management and organization skills to ensure projects are timely and accurate.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid or remote work arrangement, consistent with System Office policy. UNC System employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina, within a 2-hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.

About the Team
PBS North Carolina's Content division provides North Carolinians with national and local programming and services of the highest quality, using media to educate, inspire, entertain, and express a diversity of perspectives.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Required Competencies

Strong prioritization and organization skills are necessary for multitasking, as well as for coordinating projects and activities. Program Administration Ability to establish expectations and clear directions for a defined program area independently. Ability to make decisions regarding the program expectations and direction to ensure program outcomes and timelines are met. Ability to analyze and develop information for monitoring and measuring work processes. Ability to manage the reporting of financial area or program(s), including preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports. Customer Service Ability to engage and act in the best interests of the organization by aligning service delivery with strategic goals and client’s needs. Ability to maintain quality service standards and recommend improvements. Ability to enhance collaboration among individuals and groups. Knowledge of the unique needs of clients and ability to provide responsive services/answers tailored to their requirements. Communication – Verbal/Written Ability to advise and consult with clients to ensure accuracy of the communication and understanding of the message. Ability to place messages in context with the organization’s broader business perspective. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Information/Records Administration Ability to develop and recommend new approaches to improve records and information management. Ability to evaluate and recommend changes to data collection and data presentation methods in response to complex requests. Ability to develop program tools applicable to assigned program area(s). Ability to maintain awareness of current and emerging technologies which could improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data management with other business systems. Leadership Ability to train, assign, supervise and review the work of others. Ability to perform and/or supervise several administrative functions. Ability to supervise a various function of considerable complexity.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
Prefer at least two (2) years of related experience along with proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of programs and applications.
