Job Summary
The Divisional Controller handles a variety of tasks in producing and analyzing the monthly financial statements
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DIVISIONAL CONTROLLER
- Supervising corporate payroll, accounts payable and billing departments
- Completing monthly closings of companies in the division
- Preparing monthly consolidated and divisional financial statements
- Preparing and processing journal entries
- Reconciling general ledger accounts
- Reviewing branch performance
- Adhering to a strict closing schedule
- Assisting in the annual audit process
- Preparing weekly sales and gross margin reports for Capital City Nurses' management
- Providing analysis and research as needed to ensure accurate financial information
- Participate in acquisition integration activities, as appropriate
- Assisting in special projects and activities, as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Experience in managing and providing leadership to a financial team
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, specifically working in general ledger
- Microsoft Dynamics GP experience preferred
- ADP experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Flexible scheduling to meet changing closing deadlines
- Strong Excel skills
- Comfortable working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of an organization
