Job Description

Delivery Network Operations (DNO) is responsible for ensuring that there are enough couriers contracted with Lasership and OnTrac to deliver the freight at any given time. They are specifically focused on the Last Mile of the delivery leg. The DNO Business Analyst will be responsible for determining how to optimize the onboarding funnel to enable a frictionless onboarding process. You will develop a deep understanding of growth drivers and trends and leverage those insights to improve our operations across specific regions & the entire US. You will partner closely with local operations, drive regional communication strategies, and own reporting on a weekly & monthly basis.

The ideal candidate will be able build strategic frameworks and processes and understands that automation must be at the forefront of everything that we do. They are a self-starter who collaborates cross functionally to accomplish company goals and has a passion for building data-driven recommendations that improve business operations. Your work will have an immediate impact in driving our research priorities and improving the experience for our shippers and customers.

This role will report into the The Capacity Planning & Forecast Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze and deliver forecasts for driver needs, onboarding, and attrition based on recent trends and future projections
  • Generating actionable insights through the development of dashboards and deep dive analyses
  • Lead daily and weekly intraday staffing reviews with operations, identifying risks and mitigation plan
  • Present proposals and results in a clear manner backed by data and coupled with actionable conclusions
  • Continuously evaluate data analysis tools and processes and offer solutions to ensure they are efficient, high-quality and scalable
  • Build tools that provide insights into weekly, daily and intra-day (real time) staffing vs demand

Qualifications

  • Experience applying statistical methods to solve business problems.
  • Experience with SQL or ETL
  • Highly quantitative - Ability to synthesize data, make data-driven decisions and balance quantitative measurement with an intuition. savvy in excel; experience with SQL and Tableau strongly preferred)
  • Strategic and business forward - you find trends in your data and look for the “so what”
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator; you can tell a story combining data with qualitative insights, and you understand how to tailor your communication to any audience
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master’s preferred
