Opie’s Outpost is a woman-owned, community-oriented doggie daycare in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood! We are seeking an *experienced* handler for a full time shift. Minimum 1 year doggie daycare experience required. Overnight boarding shifts (7pm - 8:30am) may be available after a trial period of 1 month.
Opie’s is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year! In addition to daycare & boarding, Opie’s offers grooming, training, walking, and a boutique retail storefront.
Responsibilities Include:
- Be consistently attentive to the dogs. You will be working not just with live animals, but people's family members!
- Be on time, punctuality is a must.
- Regular cleaning of the play areas.
- Flexible schedule - Must have availability on weekends and holidays.
- Comfort handling dogs of *all* sizes.
- Feed dogs and administer medication according to instructions
- Occasional dog walks as needed
