Part Time Domestic Abuse Services Clinical Supervisor
Domestic Abuse Services, a department of YWCA Greenwich, is seeking an experienced clinician to join our dedicated and highly trained team. YWCA Greenwich is a state designated domestic violence service provider and member of the CT Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Domestic Abuse Services delivers a full spectrum of services for those impacted by domestic violence. All services are free and confidential.
The YWCA Greenwich is seeking a compassionate individual with a commitment to working towards equity and social justice. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical supervision to other counselors and advocates. Part time, very flexible schedule. Candidates must be compassionate, trauma-informed and able to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Clinical Supervisor
Provide clinical supervision to agency staff, including both adult and child and family counselors. Clinical supervision is where a counselor’s clinical work is reviewed and reflected upon with the aims of improving the supervisee's work with clients, ensuring client welfare, supporting the supervisee in relation to their work and supporting the supervisee's professional development and takes place within a safe and trauma-informed environment.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS
- LCSW required
- Minimum of 4 years’ professional clinical experience, including working with individuals impacted by trauma
- Experience providing clinical supervision required
- Professional experience in domestic violence advocacy is preferred, but not required
- Candidate will maintain CT State Certification in Domestic Violence (provided)
- Reliable transportation and working telephone required
- Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and basic computer skills

COMPENSATION: Part time: $40 per hour plus $1500 Starting Bonus. Benefits available.

The key programmatic areas are: Domestic Abuse Services, Aquatics, Childhood Education programs, Fitness memberships, Health & Recreation Programs, women’s empowerment programming and racial justice initiatives. More specifically:
- YWCA Greenwich provides comprehensive direct services to victims of domestic violence through 24-hour hotlines, crisis intervention, counseling, court advocacy, and emergency sheltering. Recently we have added a Civil Legal Clinic and Financial Literacy Coaching to our array of free services to victims of domestic violence. In addition, the YWCA Greenwich provides prevention education through extensive training of key members of the community and age-appropriate domestic abuse prevention programs through the Greenwich Public Schools.
