Manager on Duty, Downtown Y
COMPENSATION (HOURLY):
$14.00
JOB DETAILS:
Under the direct supervision of the designated Director and in harmony with established policies of the YMCA, the Manager on Duty/Building Supervisor assumes full responsibility for the overall branch operations in the absence of Professional Staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Opens or closes building on time and secures alarms according to procedures.
- Routinely inspects monitors and maintains security of the facility to ensure quality of programs and safe activities.
- Corrects and addresses all problems and concerns of members by notifying the appropriate department heads and branch executives of situations needing their attention.
- Acts as indirect supervisor to staff in each department to ensure adequate coverage in all areas of the building.
- Building kept clean, operations run smoothly, problems handled quickly and professionally.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: (The Y may offer some of the required training)
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Some college education preferred
- Supervisory experience
- Complete new staff orientation required upon hire.
- CPR and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, hear, see, and lift up to 50 lbs.
