eCommerce Specialist

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The objective of the eCommerce Specialist is to develop, implement, leverage, and promote Conklin Metal’s digital applications such as our website and mobile applications to grow and support sales through these digital channels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, implement, promote, and support all digital applications as they relate to customers and Conklin Metal associates
• Provide training to customers and Conklin Metal associates on digital tools and applications
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, 3rd party providers, Conklin Metal IT team, and all functional departments within Conklin Metal to teach, promote and market all digital solutions and functionality
• Participate in investigating, creating, testing, and supporting new digital solutions which will benefit customers and Conklin Metal
• Market digital solutions to customers using the Conklin Metal website, customer visits, in-house training sessions, direct correspondence, and other methods. Collaborate with sales and the marketing department to promote and advertise digital solutions
• Provide data and reporting on the success and relevance of Conklin Metal’s current digital offerings and to determine possibilities for future opportunities
• Provide the support required to create and maintain customer access to Conklin Metal’s digital offerings
• Actively represent Conklin Metal’s digital initiatives.
• Partner with Conklin Metal’s IT department to advise, test, and incorporate digital solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5 years of experience in Industrial Distribution required
• Experience with sheet metal and HVAC products is preferred
• Basic understanding of e-commerce platforms with a general knowledge of databases
• Strong technology and digital skills
• Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus
• Candidate must have ERP experience and ability to facilitate connecting our existing website to our ERP (P21).

• Adobe Commerce/Magento experience preferred.
• B2B Experience

• Excellent written & verbal communication skills including presentations and conducting training sessions
• The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with fellow Conklin Metal associates and customers
• Must be self-directed, well organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks and assignments.
• Self-study learning skills required.
• Must have a strong customer focus, be a strategic planner and think creatively to devise solutions to customer issues utilizing technology.
• Ability to interact with sales, marketing, credit, operations, and information services departments effectively
