UTHealth Houston's School of Dentistry is seeking an E-Learning Technologist I to join their team of professionals. The E-Learning Technologist role at UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry is an exciting and dynamic blend of support for educational technology and instructional design activities. You will be supporting faculty, students, and staff in successfully and effectively using a wide range of educational software applications and classroom hardware and guiding the design of teaching and learning moments. Success in this role will require the ability to learn, ultimately teach, and support, a broad range of software and hardware, as well as having some instructional design skills.
Location: 7500 Cambridge, Houston, Texas 77054 (onsite with some options for remote work)

Position Summary:
Provides technical support for educational technology systems to faculty, staff and students on a school-wide basis.
Position Key Accountabilities:
1. Maintains and supports school-wide educational technology systems.
2. Coordinates, develops and organizes programs including workshops and training sessions to inform faculty on trends in educational technology, methods for effective use of educational technology, and use of specialized tools.
3. Responds to client needs and may collaborate with other information technology staff to identify, develop and implement appropriate educational technology solutions.
4. Supports faculty, staff and students in their use of hardware and software required for education.
5. Uses e-learning authoring software to create teaching and training tools; may develop online training courses to aid in the effective use of educational technology systems and applications.
6. Instructs and supports faculty in the use of Learning Management Systems.
7. Assists in the determination of support and training needs for educational technology, including the development of online training courses.
8. Assists with classroom audio/visual support when required.
9. May perform other duties as assigned.
Certification/Skills:
Excellent communication skills
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional / Educational Technology or related field or relevant work experience in lieu of education.
Minimum Experience:
One year of related experience.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
