Overview:
Deliver quality orientation and ongoing education to team members, and ensure all participants are actively engaged in the learning processes.
Assist in developing, evaluating, and modifying curricula for both classroom and on‐site education.
Develop associated educational materials to support the learning needs of the organization.
Evaluate team members by implementing skills competencies related to their role.
Manage the scheduling and delivery of education for new and existing team members.
In conjunction with leaders, provide real‐time interventions and on‐going development to support the learning needs of team members to ensure they reach optimal performance.
Conduct site visits to perform learning needs assessments and identify areas for improvement.
Maintain appropriate records of orientation and education activities utilizing the learning management system.
Demonstrate proficiency in identified systems as needed.
As directed, proctor elective courses for ongoing education of existing staff.
Participate in meetings and committees directly affecting orientation and education curriculum.
Ensure all orientation and education adheres to the Joint Commission Standards, CDC, other applicable regulatory agencies, and CommUnityCare’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies.
Travel throughout health centers in Travis County.
Participates in department meetings and continuing education opportunities.
Demonstrate a willingness to be an active participant in initiatives that have fundamental impact on the organization.
Performs any other duties as needed to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.

Ensure all actions, job performance, personal conduct, and communications represent CommUnityCare in a highly professional manner at all times.

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in education, human capital development, instructional design, or related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years’ experience in a healthcare setting.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years’ experience in providing education in a healthcare setting.
The Educator is responsible for the orientation and development of identified team members in various roles. In collaboration with leaders and team members across all disciplines and departments, is responsible for assessing current educational needs, developing materials, and facilitating education both in a classroom setting as well as in on-site clinical locations. Will ensure orientation and education records are in compliance with regulatory compliance requirements.
