Evergreen Engineering is seeking a full-time Electrical Department Manager in our Eugene, Oregon office to join our dynamic and innovative team.
Job Summary:
- Lead a department of electrical engineers and designers (currently five people, with growth expected)
- Complete site scoping visits, estimates, and proposals for electrical and controls work
- Develop or oversee electrical and controls designs, details, and specifications
- Perform field investigation of existing conditions
- Oversee/perform electrical calculations for permitting and client review
- Oversee/perform arc flash and power coordination studies
- Provide project management for electrical-focused projects and electrical portions of large projects
- Some travel may be required (generally <10%)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or extensive industrial electrical experience/licensed electrician)
- Licensed professional engineer (PE) highly desired
- At least five years experience in industrial electrical or controls design and engineering
- Project management, coordination, budgets, scope of work, ECNs, and delegation
- Supervisory experience – two years (minimum) supervising engineers, designers, and drafters in performance of project electrical design
Position Type / Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time in-office position.
- Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A 9/80 schedule option is also available.
- Full benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, holiday pay, PTO, annual reviews, year-end bonus, and a profit-sharing program.
