Peerless is seeking a qualified Electrical/Electronics Engineer to join our team supporting the Data and Systems Branch of the NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) Testing Division in their mission of acquiring and providing critical test data. Duties will include:

  • Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) from engineering drawings for effective management of production/inventory, integration, and verification of systems
  • Work with procurement team on inventory gaps, deals with obsolescence issues, verifies basic functionality of system prior to and coordinates system delivery
  • Develop and document testing procedures with software and hardware in troubleshooting and issue reporting with the ability to convey to customers and technical staff
  • Manage technical data package for systems and reviews technical drawings as required for systems deployment
  • Stay current on marketplace technology offerings, recommend equipment replacements or updates
  • Involved with design team with freedom to look at design from ‘total’ package not just independent pieces
  • Document and/or develop testing procedures on systems and convey to testing staff
  • Maintain engineering revisions and firmware change path and make recommendations when and how to implement
  • Coordinate system development to follow necessary security requirements
  • Familiar with circuit and PCB design software
  • New equipment vendor identification and evaluation for system suitability and meeting requirements
  • Responsible for compliance with Company’s Safety, Health and Environmental Plan and all safety policies and procedures of the Company

REQUIREMENTS

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills to convey information and mentor
  • Strong organizational, time-management skills, and self-starter with strong work ethic
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple individuals within a team and across teams
  • Ability to acquire Security Clearance
  • 5 years of appropriate experience
