About The Role

An autonomous electric agriucultural vehicle company is looking to hire an experienced eletrical engineer to join the team. A robust sensor suite and custom software stack enable remote modes of operation with a higher margin of safety than conventional equipment. Through OEM partners, will address both local agriculture skilled labor shortages and broader land maintenance operations, including wildfire prevention through land clearing.

About the role
A dynamic and excellent problem solving Electrical Engineer is needed on the Hardware team. You will be responsible for the electrical design of new and existing autonomous vehicle systems through the entire product lifecycle.
    • Ownership of the electrical technical specification, design, integration, and release of autonomous agriculture vehicle systems.
    • Design schematics, board layouts, and wire harnesses for various systems such as battery management, power, I/O, lighting, actuators, sensors, and microcontrollers
    • Select components that are performant, cost-conscious, and available.
    • Develop power, electrical, and thermal budgets and models
    • Facilitate technical discussions through all program phases with internal and cross-functional stakeholders and drive escalation where necessary.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional vehicle development leads in engineering (ME, SW), supply chain, program management with the goal of driving alignment on program execution details, planning, and readiness.
    • Work with program management to plan development schedules, builds, and resolve supply chain issues.
What you’ll bring:
    • 2+ years of experience in a professional and product driven environment
    • Experience working in low-volume prototype environments.
    • Strong experience with EE CAD tools such as Eagle, Altium, and/or OrCAD
    • Strong experience with lab tools such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, DMMs, and protocol analyzers.
    • Experience designing low level microcontrollers PCBs and IO circuitry
    • Experience with component selection and procurement
    • Experience with PCBA outsourcing and DFM
