Seeking highly motivated self-starter with formal training and experience as an electrical technician. We may be willing to train candidates with key skills and related experience.

Job Description:

We are seeking technicians to install and maintain various high precision data acquisition equipment. Technicians will work from engineering requests, procedures, and drawings with limited guidance.
This may include: Fabrication of wiring harnesses, electrical assemblies, data system components, and some mechanical fabrication and/or assembly; Wire routing and cable management; Possibly calibration of various analog sensors measuring strain, pressure, temperature, displacement, flow, voltage, and current; And assisting with continuous process improvement.

Working environment consists of:

-Lab bench work, structural test labs, remote test stands, as well as offsite support to include aircraft instrumentation.

-Most work areas require personal protective equipment (PPE). This consists of safety glasses, safety shoes (Safety Toe and Oil Resistant), hearing protection (When Required), cut resistant gloves (When Required), and face covering (Due to COVID-19). Safety shoes are not provided. Some locations require fall restraint. Fall protection and related training is provided.

Eligible candidates:

-Must have a strong electrical and mechanical background.

-Must be able to work from elevated work platforms at various heights.

-Must be willing and able to work in inclement weather.

-Must be capable and comfortable working within a diverse team environment.

-Good working knowledge of test instrumentation, data acquisition systems, strain gages, linear displacement, accelerometers, slip rings, other measurement systems, and aviation experience is a plus.

Key Skills:

-Read Electrical Schematics and Prints

-Read Mechanical Schematics and Prints

-Fabricate, Route, and Terminate Electrical Harnesses

-Fabricate various Mechanical Assemblies and Test Enclosures/Boxes

-Common Electrical Tools such as Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Wire Strippers, Crimpers, Soldering Iron, Etc. -Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Training

-Install Electronic Equipment -Basic Troubleshooting and Repair of Electronic Equipment

-Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

-General Computer Software familiarity is a plus Work is M-F 8 hrs per day. 2nd shift no 9/80

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $37.50 per hour

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)
