This role is a Service Compute Evaluation Electronic Technician who interfaces directly with the customer support, OEM purchasing and global service teams to design robust support solutions for service of Crestron products. Strong organizational and multitasking skills will be required to manage multiple business critical GMP support models in a global network.

The successful candidate must have a solid background experience with PC builds, PC hardware components, and testing failure analysis for said components. The technicians will be part of a Service team to identify hardware and software issues that might arise and troubleshoot following company protocol and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform component diagnosis and repair of electronic end items in alignment with Crestron Standard Operating Procedures.
• Perform analysis of test defects and potential root causes.
• Implement a comprehensive root cause
• Develop and maintain relationships with key personnel across the Enterprise.
• Complete and troubleshoot Windows and Proprietary issues and CPU reimaging.
• Interact with CM with RMA resolution
• Test and clean PCs, laptops and other related hardware as needed.
• Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and computer peripherals as needed during the rework.
• Set up, configure, and add all required hardware during rework.
• Restore all user and configuration data.
• Provide resolution of end user’s technical issues post sales.
• Provide technical support to end users via telephone or desk side as needed.
• Assure that all tickets requiring follow up work and/or calls are resolved to closure within target.
• Assist in researching and documenting improvements to processes upon discovery.
• Diagnose and repair large volumes of PCs and peripherals
• Backing up files and reinstalling operating systems

Qualifications:

• Associates degree (A.S.) preferred
• Knowledge Microsoft Office: Excel,Outlook,Teams, Power Point
• Strong working knowledge of core application
• Windows 10 experience, Linux and coding experience is a plus.
• Experience with standard technical support concepts, practices, and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Adobe DC and Android is a plus.
• Must be self-motivated to meet deadlines.
• Able to follow procedures with little to no immediate supervision.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 40 pounds unassisted.
