About the Company: A Rhode Island manufacturer for over 135 years, Taylor Box operates a 55,000 sq ft ISO-9001 certified facility in Warren, RI. The family-run company boasts an award-winning design studio, a flexible production floor featuring state-of-the-art box-wrapping and case-making equipment, as well as an artisan premium wood-framed handmade products division. We produce anything from short runs to million-piece orders for blue-chip brands like Titleist, Under Armor, MaxMara, Coach, HBO, etc.

Currently, Taylor Box Company is seeking a high-energy, skilled operator to join the team. We will provide all machine training to the right candidate with a strong mechanical background.

About the Position: Emmeci Operators at Taylor Box Company are responsible for the efficient operation of all Emmeci box-making and case-making equipment. They must be able to effectively troubleshoot and resourcefully problem solve. They are responsible for ensuring ISO-9001 standards and processes are adhered to, and that the quality of finished goods meets the company Quality Standard. This position reports to the Production Manager and Operations Manager.

The ideal candidate:

· Must be helpful and friendly, with a positive attitude- jerks are not welcome here!

· Must have excellent communication and training skills-- si hablas español, eso es mejor!

· Must have 1+ years previous operating experience

· Has the ability to be a leader and oversee packers and assembly people.

Responsibilities:

· Learn the Taylor Box Company Quality Policy and uphold it every day.

· Safety operate Emmeci box-making equipment

· Follow the directives of the Production Manager.

· Read and understand specs for custom projects.

· Work with assembly personnel on equipment line in a polite and friendly manner.

· Follow procedures for tracking quality and productivity in the MRP system.

· Perform daily cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks to keep machinery in good working order.

· Follow the lock out/tag out procedures during routine maintenance or repairs.

· Maintain clean and organized workstations through 5S housekeeping principles; daily duties include sweeping, mopping, removing recycles and trash.

· Learn various types of box constructions, board types and calipers, paper types and finishes used in rigid box manufacturing.

· Engage with your work every day, focus on efficiency and quality, and contribute ideas for improvement.
