This position serves as the primary support for processing transactions into SAP related to faculty and graduate assistant employment. This position also works with SAP HR to resolve system issues, participates in testing and set up of new administrative processes related to faculty employment, manages the full life-cycle of the graduate assistant tuition waiver program, and liaises with Benefits & Wellness, Global Campus, Human Resources, SAP HR, Payroll, Office of Research and Graduate Studies (ORGS), Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid (OSFA), and Student Account Services and University Billing (SASUB) on issues related to graduate assistant and faculty employment, payroll, and benefits.

Required Qualifications
Associates degree and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience in benefits, payroll, human resources, or a related field or four years of the same relevant work experience.
Strong computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Effective verbal and written communication skills with individuals at all levels of an organization.

Duties & Responsibilities
Serves as the primary support for processing transactions into SAP related to faculty and graduate assistant employment activity, such as: on-boarding, off-boarding, compensation, cost center and FTE adjustments.
Manages and administers the full life cycle of the graduate assistant tuition waiver program for all graduate assistants.
Monitors graduate enrollment, confirms eligibility and approves tuition waiver requests.
Understands and processes employee union contract agreements as it pertains to faculty and graduate assistant employment and compensation.
Coordinates and performs technical accounting work in processing annual salary adjustments and contractual compensation adjustments.
Utilizes standard reporting tools (i.e., SAP ad hoc/Spinifex IT) to write, maintain, and support a variety of reports and queries; assists in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs; helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and auditing/analyzing data.
Reviews and tests HRIS enhancements and/or upgrades, and communicates system deficiencies to SAP HR.
Works directly with faculty FMLA administrator on compensation issues related to faculty medical leaves.
Creates and maintains all faculty and GA position control data (position creations and eliminations) within SAP.
Meets individually with graduate assistants with appointment and/or tuition billing concerns.
Regularly assists faculty and graduate assistants with questions/concerns regarding payroll and employment issues.
Participates in and/or provides group and one-on-one trainings with academic personnel regarding employment issues and processes.
Liaises with Benefits & Wellness, Global Campus, Human Resources, SAP HR, Payroll, Office of Research and Graduate Studies (ORGS), Office of Scholarships & Financial Aid (OSFA), and Student Account Services and University Billing (SASUB) on issues related to graduate assistant and faculty employment, payroll, and benefits; analyzes present systems and procedures and provides recommendations for improvements.

Faculty Personnel Services is the academic human resource office for campus. There are seven full-time staff positions in the department.
