Position Summary:

The primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, calendaring deadlines, document management, review of documents for responsiveness, bates labeling, organization of documents and compiling information for discovery responses/pleadings/motions, depositions and trial preparation.

As Employment Litigation Paralegal, you will:

  • Prepare documents for attorney review, including letters, forms, presentations, charts and spreadsheets
  • Coordinate with local office services for large copy and binder creation requests
  • Assist with trial preparation including assembling deposition summaries and updating trial exhibits
  • Organize, index and maintain case files
  • Draft various legal documents including transmittal letters, subpoenas and case summaries for attorney review
  • Conduct legal research
  • Gather case related materials including contracts, witness and expert files, and exhibits
  • File documents with government agencies and courts
  • Maintain departmental docketing calendar to ensure timely filings
  • Prepare trial work spaces, including coordinating with IT and outside vendors regarding war room equipment
  • Provide administrative trial support, including maintaining exhibit lists and filing court documents

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate
  • At least three (3) years of employment litigation work experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work with large data sets
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information

Expected Pay Range in Los Angeles & Orange County $68,000 – 128,000

Expected Pay Range in San Francisco & Silicon Valley $78,000 – 147,000

Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that MWE provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
