Engagement Manager

Full-time, home-based in the US

As an Engagement Manager, you are responsible for managing all aspects of the assigned client portfolio of global account(s) including but not limited to stakeholder engagement, business planning and strategic reviews, implementation, business consolidation, financials, budget and forecasting, staff development, and business continuity. You have direct accountability to BCD Travel and externally to the customer for the success of the contract or travel program across multiple countries.

A snapshot of the opportunity

  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders across various levels of the organization
  • Develop and execute business plans, implement key deliverables, and measure results
  • Support travel categories such as internal policies, demand management programs, sourcing, and travel risk/crisis management
  • Monitor category spending and evaluate options to reduce total cost
  • Benchmark internal and external costs against industry and competitive standards
  • Liaise with suppliers and/or assess supplier performance, consistency of service, quality, and compliance
  • Evaluate the program and recommend consulting products and services to enhance the program
  • Identify and support travel technology products, develop market intelligence, and benchmarking platforms (as needed)
  • Build internal networks among departments, local leaders, and key support team members
  • Communicate travel initiatives, travel category results, updates to program or industry
  • Serve as a point of contact for travelers to resolve issues and inquiries
  • Develop traveler education content and information to communicate throughout the organization
  • Act as a conduit and trusted advisor, share best practices and industry updates
  • Coordinate all central communication across countries both BCD Travel and client's regional initiatives or interests
  • Ensure timely settlement of customer P&Ls where required and necessary as per the contractual obligation
  • Create and manage business improvement plans
  • Manage new business implementations
  • Create and manage budgets and financials (including billing, payment & profitability)
  • Support operational and regional reporting requirements

How you can set yourself apart

  • Extensive experience in account management corporate travel or related industry
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in implementing and managing large market/global clients
  • Thorough knowledge of travel industry technology and corporate travel operations
  • Knowledge of contract management
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Ability to cross-sell company services and products and sell to preferred vendors
  • Ability to interact with all levels of clientele and influence decision-makers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
