Job Overview:

Responsible for sourcing and vetting local vendors, placing purchase orders, parts inventory, re-stocking and budget for all maintenance, repair and operations spend at the bakery level.

This position has direct responsibility to ensure that all work activities under its span of control are performed with attention to the highest standards of food quality, safe processes, compliance with all appropriate legal requirements and a focus on continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Complete all parts ordering in the engineering department
• Maintains parts inventory and re-stocking
• Completes budgeting tasks
• Other duties as defined

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Additional post-secondary education is preferred
• Understanding of commercial bakeries and bakery equipment
• Understanding of the unique equipment in a bakery production plant, along with operation of that equipment relative to the baking process is preferred.
• Oral and Written Communication – Effective
• Personal Computer Skills – Familiar with MS excel and word

• Manufacturing Environment
• Frequent exposure to hot /cold environment
• Frequent exposure to loud noises

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb ladders is required
• Ability to sit (50%) and stand (10%), walk (20%), kneel/squat (10%), and bend (10%) for 8 hours.
• Ability to lift approximately up to a maximum of 75 pounds, approximately 2 times per week from floor to waist
• Ability to reach overhead various times per day and to ground various times per day.
• Climbing ladders and stairs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.25 - $21.56 per hour
