Delaware County Community College, a competency-based institution, committed to diversity invites applications for two (2) part-time Enrollment Navigators in our Enrollment Management department.
The Enrollment Navigator is a part-time (25 hours/week), 5-year grant-funded position which provides direct support to first-generation students eligible to participate in the College’s Title III Strengthening Institutions project. The project’s goal is to develop and deliver a comprehensive, college-wide approach to addressing the needs of first-generation students to strengthen academic preparation, improve retention, and increase academic success and lead to program completion, employment, and/or transfer. As such, responsibilities include actively supporting students through the enrollment process at the College, specifically taking a holistic approach to aiding students with any needs that arise during the entry process. The Enrollment Navigator will work closely with appropriate Recruitment and Enrollment Management staff to ensure smooth delivery of all grant-related services and activities related to enrollment and onboarding.

Essential Functions:
Provide intensive support for admissions and financial aid application activities.- Maintain project files on students served to document one-on-one meetings, services provided, and recommendations for support.
- Proactively communicate with students in the enrollment funnel through ongoing outreach via text, e-mail, phone and on college platforms (e.g., Canvas).
- Assist in the delivery of mandatory new student orientation activities, including financial literacy.
- Build relationships and connect with first-generation students.
- Coach and assist students with any entry related questions and needs during the onboarding process.
- Work with the Project Manager and Office of Institutional Effectiveness to develop protocols for data collection and record keeping processes to effectively report on program outcomes and activities.
- Provide active, day-to-day support to first-generation students.
- Work with the Project Manager to prepare required reports to USDE and to the College.
- Serve as a single point of contact at the College to help first-generation students navigate through the entry process steps by connecting to appropriate resources and following-up to ensure successful completion of each step.
- Collaborate with staff in Enrollment Management and other areas of the College to ensure a smooth onboarding process for first-generation students.
- Maintain working knowledge of and stay current about the other areas of the College throughout the grant to ease the entry process for first-generation students.
- Use technology as appropriate to perform responsibilities and develop project participant relationships.
- Educate students on college resources and serve as a compass to help them navigate their enrollment experience.
- Develop/maintain linkages with internal offices and departments to assist students.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.- Minimum two years of student coaching experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Student service experience in a college setting.
- Basic working knowledge of Federal Financial Aid.
- Competence with MS Word, Excel, Access, internet functions and email.
- Ability to work respectfully with diverse cultures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel to satellite campus locations and off-campus sites as needed.
- Experience working in a community college environment.
- Basic working knowledge of college enrollment processes.
