Job Summary:

Responsible for the planning and engineering of an organization's systems infrastructure to include the implementation and design of hardware and software.

Job Duties:

• Analyzes current IT operational processes, business requirements and identify new data and information technology specifications; and designs complex business, clinical, educational, or infrastructure solutions.
• Utilizes systems specifications and formalized representations of solutions to prepare flow charts and models to support the design of system configurations that meet customer needs.
• Monitors the performance of systems and develops, recommends, and implements improvements, modifications, or additions to document work.
• Tests solutions to validate functionality and usability.
• Utilizes system management and monitoring tools to detect incidents and determine root cause.
• Serves as principal resource for maintaining IT infrastructure.
• Collaborates and communicates with other IT teams and business units to ensure solutions and process improvements meet core business requirements.
• Assists with technology planning through ongoing research and testing.
• Prepares and maintains technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
• Assists with the development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field is required.

Will accept experience in lieu of a degree.

Experience:

Three (3) years of IT-related experience with Linux, Windows, virtualization, and enterprise storage solutions is required.

Preferred Skills:

Experience scripting for systems administration tasks

Familiarity with the High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems and Cloud Computing

Previous experience administering Windows operating Systems

Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,200.00 - $105,300.00 per year
