ENTREPRENEUR SUCCESS MANAGER - ONLINE ENTREPRENEUR COMMUNITY

The Lonely Entrepreneur (www.lonelyentrepreneur.com) is seeking a COMMUNITY MANAGER to interact with the members of our online entrepreneur community that is part of our Lonely Entrepreneur Learning Community (described below) to provide them with full value of being part of that community. This includes:

• Answering specific questions from entrepreneurs
• Directing entrepreneurs to the various knowledge, tools and support elements of the Learning Community
• Generating interest and attention in the various online coaching sessions delivered as part of the Learning Community
• Creating posts and other content related to entrepreneurs
• Proactively engaging with entrepreneurs
• Connecting entrepreneurs to each other in the Learning Community
• Coordinating volunteer opportunities inside the Learning Community
• Communicating with community members inside and outside the Learning Community (e.g., email, text)
• Completing administrative tasks as assigned

THE LONELY ENTREPRENEUR LEARNING COMMUNITY

The foundation of TLE’s offerings is the Lonely Entrepreneur Learning Community – a one stop shop for entrepreneurs to bring together the knowledge, skills and tools every entrepreneur needs including:

• Knowledge: a set of over 500 learning modules that cover both the business and personal issues entrepreneurs face
• Tools: 100s of templates (e.g., business plans, legal agreements) and reviews of the top vendors and solution providers they need (e.g., accounting software)
• Ongoing Support and Community: through two channels - an online community and weekly group coaching - where they can get their daily questions answered
• Access: “365/24/7 anywhere access” from any desktop or mobile device. This is obviously especially important during COVID.

We offer the Learning Community directly to consumers and to for profit and non-profit organizations that use the Learning Community to empower the group of entrepreneurs they wish to connect with or empower. This includes important initiatives including the Black Entrepreneur Initiative (to empower 100,000 Black entrepreneurs), the Hispanic Entrepreneur Initiative (to empower 100,000 Hispanic entrepreneurs), and programs supporting world-class corporate clients including UPS, Molson Coors, Microsoft, ESPN, AARP, Urban League, the Milwaukee Bucks, Ally Bank, Lakewood Church, Richard Petty Motorsports, the NFL Players Association, the Charlotte Hornets, Cerner, American University, Wells Fargo, Urban Upbound, Winston & Strawn, Wayne State University, Ice Miller, Sterling National Bank,Dell, Oracle, Staples, World Woman Foundation, City Current, NFLPA, Cambridge Innovation Center, NYU, Wells Fargo, Future Founders, Paul Weiss, Future Business Leaders of America, Rutgers Center for Urban Entrepreneurship & Economic Development, World Chicago, Bucknell University, and Winston & Strawn.

THE ROLE

In this role, we are seeking an energetic, detail oriented and disciplined individual that will engage with entrepreneurs, help them solve their specific challenges and feel a part of a robust, irreplaceable community that is essential to succeeding in their entrepreneurial journey. Success is achieved with metrics that measure (i) high level of engagement, (ii) high level of retention, (iii) high ratings from members and (iv) achievement of key business activities and business results for members.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Make the community an essential and irreplaceable part of their entrepreneurial journey
• Interact with community members to help them solve their entrepreneurial challenges
• Ensure community members fully understand all the resources that are available to them on an ongoing basis

• Onboard members to provide the foundation for an irreplaceable community
• Connect entrepreneurs to each other in the Learning Community
• Coordinate volunteer opportunities inside the Learning Community
• Communicate with community members inside and outside the Learning Community (e.g., email, text)
• Set, plan and implement communication campaigns and strategies

• Provide engaging text, image and video content for the community
• Coordinate with Marketing, PR and Communications teams

• Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends
• Create and improve processes for the continued improvement of program execution

• Report on all program activities and implement reporting processes to create additional efficiency
• Coordinate and utilize resources for multiple projects in the program

• Collaborate with other departments including marketing, operations and product

• Prepare and present progress reports to program directors

CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor’s degree in management, business, or related field
• Experience in community management role
• Experience in entrepreneurial ventures to be able to guide entrepreneurs to solutions
• Proficient computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledgeable in community management methodology and techniques

• Strong understanding of business tools including marketing (email marketing, reporting, community platforms)
• Ability to schedule and manage tasks effectively
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
• Process orientation

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

COMPENSATION:

Base: Base $40,000 - $55,000

Role is as a 1099 Contractor.
