Scelzi Enterprises, Inc. is hiring for our Fresno, CA location and is looking for a Yard Support/Truck Driver Trainee for our Transportation department. Candidate must have a valid Commercial Class A Driver’s license and be insurable. Responsibilities include moving trucks around the yard, delivering trucks to dealerships, assist with loading trailers, strapping, and chaining loads, driving trucks on and off trailers, general housekeeping.

Essential Functions:

• Assist forklift operator with loading trailers
• Tie loads
• Create list of inventories available to ship
• Assist with delivery of trucks to local dealership
• Ensure that Bill of Ladings are complete and accurate
• Parking semi-trucks
• Cleaning up the transportation area at the end of day

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• - Candidate must have valid Commercial Driver’s license and be insurable

• - Ability to work alone and use problem-solving and decision-making skills

• - Ability to read Work Orders and VIN numbers to verify units

• - Communication skills
• - Required to be knowledgeable in driving a semi-truck with a 13-speed transmission
• - Forklift experience is preferred but not required
• - Candidate must have the ability to be receptive and open to new ideas, thoughts, and opportunities

Essential Physical Tasks:
Must be able to lift 50lbs periodically. Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Requires standing for long periods of time, frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, constantly twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching to complete essential functions listed above. Will require to be working outdoors in possible extreme weather conditions.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days are Monday through Friday may require overtime and some weekends.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Must pass DOT pre-employment drug test and DOT physical clearance.
