Entry Level Quality Control Employee
Job description
Our client in Poughkeepsie, NY is seeking employees with cooking experience. They are a busy food manufacturer looking for someone who can be trained to regularly test the temperature and recipes of their product. Position could allow for the right person to be promoted into cooking product to ensure the quality as well.
This position has serious potential for advancement. Cooking school students or graduates and fast food employees are encouraged to apply. Client is willing to train someone with a food service background.
The right employee should have:
- Cooking experience, pay close attention to detail, the ability to stand for long periods of time and strong documentation and computer skills
- Serv Safe and/or HACCP training (preferred)
- 1 year experience working in either food manufacturing or in a kitchen (preferred)
This is a full time, temp-to-hire opportunity with first or second shift (second shift must be able to train for 2 weeks on first shift) openings. Should our client decide to hire you as their own employee, you would receive benefits, including a 401k, after an introductory period is completed!
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic with a self-starting attitude and will work well in a team as well as independently. Pay rate is $18 per hour.
