As a Software Test Engineer, you will create solutions for automated testing of current and future embedded software on real and virtual hardware.
Responsibilities include:
Contribute to an agile team by driving user story analysis and feature grooming, designing, and developing thorough test scripts.- Automate test scripts and integrate into software build process.
- Write complex API tests which interface with upstream services or databases
- Design, implement and maintain cross-platform test automation scripts
- Maintain the functional test portion of the Continuous Integration pipeline
- Develop and maintain BDD test scenarios and regression plans
- Participate in test development life cycle including requirements analysis and design
- Work with developers to research failed cases, collect additional data from testing and debug software issues
- Taking accountability of developing and executing test cases in multiple test formats like Unit, Sanity, Smoke, Integration and Regression tests in efficient turnaround times.
This position pays:78,000-112,200 (
Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
Qualifications:
The qualified candidate will have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or Agricultural Engineering.- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- 0-2 years of Experience as Software Test Engineer, Software Developer or Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET).
- Knowledge and certification on programming languages for automation testing like Python.
The ideal candidate will have:
Understanding of Agile Methodologies.- Strong analytic and debugging skills.
- Understanding of QA concepts, STLC, SDLC, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment.
- Understanding of Android/Linux Displays, Telematics (Precision Control and GPS modules) in AG or Construction domain.
- Knowledge of Tractors, Combines, Sprayers, Tillage, Seeders, and other Agricultural equipment.
- Understanding of Loop time executions, CPU Load Calculations, Memory Analyzing, Test Report Generations, Interrupt Handling and understanding of multi-Threaded RTOS and Kernel’s
- Knowledge on test plan development.
- Knowledge and experience in test automation tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge on network protocols like CAN J1939, LIN or other High Speed Robust Network protocols.
- Knowledge on Software Configuration Management tools like GIT, GERRIT, SVN, ClearCase.
