InfoSend, Inc. is a transactional print and mail company. We were founded in 1996 and we continue to grow. In the last five years we opened our Envelope Division and started manufacturing envelopes of different sizes and are able to customize them for our clients. This division continues to grow and we are now looking for an Envelope Operations Manager to help assist us with the expansion.
The Envelope Operations Manager is responsible for the performance of the Envelope Department on two shifts. This includes the technical installations, production equipment, R&D, staffing, training, purchasing, and department administration. Experience in the Envelope Industry is a plus but not needed. At minimum, this person should be able to understand and learn the complexities of the envelope machines and have management experience in a warehouse or printing environment. A digital printing background is ideal if this person does not have envelope experience.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor production and efficiency, adjust where necessary
- Foster teamwork within the envelope division through effective communication regarding the relationship between quality workmanship, customer service and customer satisfaction
- Set and implement production and quality goals
- Assist and advise CS on customer demands and provide cost price calculations if necessary
- Monitor new developments in the envelope/technical market and advise Management
- Expand the capabilities of the department for producing custom envelopes
- Ensure a safe working environment
- Balance safety, quality, productivity, cost, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas
- Identify and develop future leaders in manufacturing
- Work with Envelope Operations Supervisor and Envelope Production Assistant to execute and effectively communicate the production plan
- Control costs by proactively controlling expenses and eliminating of waste
- Contribute to a team effort by proactively assisting internal contacts
- Troubleshoot problems, train the adjusters/maintenance team to perform repairs/replacement of damaged worn components of the machine
- Assist and train adjusters in performing changes, and adjustments on production machines
- Analyze mechanical issues on assigned equipment and take corrective action accordingly
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure they are communicated and implemented within the team
- Negotiate with raw materials and technical suppliers
- Responsible for a correct and transparent administration
- Screen, recruit, and conduct interviews with potential envelope operation candidates
- Conduct performance reviews and provide developmental coaching to staff
- Provide constructive feedback and issue corrective action where needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the envelope industry in this position
- Digital Printing experience
- Business administration background
- Expert knowledge in Process Management and Production Logistics
- Expert knowledge in flexo/offset printing
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform calculations and performance prognoses
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment
- Must be able to pass a drug screen, E-Verify, and background check
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand and walk for long periods of time. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include: close vision.
