Environmental Engineer

Amalgamated Sugar Company – Paul, ID

Amalgamated Sugar Company is seeking an Environmental Engineer at the Mini Cassia Factory in Paul, ID. This is an exempt salaried position that reports to the District Environmental Manager at the facility. Primary responsibilities include coordinating with District Environmental, Plant Manager and other corporate/facility personnel to ensure that the facility and district operations are following applicable environmental regulations, protective of public health, public welfare, and conducted in accordance with the Company Environment Policy.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Ensuring that daily facility operations are following applicable air quality, water quality, solids, hazardous waste, and other environmental impacts.

· Ensuring environmental monitoring data and other necessary information is collected in accordance with applicable permit or regulatory requirements.

· Preparing in a timely manner, environmental reports and notifications required by permits, other applicable regulations, or requested by regulatory agencies.

· Assisting with the preparation of environmental permit applications for exiting facility and new process operations.

· Evaluating and if necessary, recommending improvements to pollution control equipment and processing operations to maintain regulatory compliance and minimize environmental impacts

Qualifications:

· A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial), Environmental Science, or related field is required

· OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,126.13 - $80,000.00 per year
