We are looking for a skilled, resourceful, and collaborative Environmental Engineer to join our Boston, MA office. The Environmental Engineer will work closely with a team of staff engineers and scientists on challenging and exciting projects throughout New England. This is a fast-paced and dynamic position, with opportunities to be challenged, contribute to project outcomes, interact routinely with project Principals, and grow professionally.

Essential Functions-What You Will Do

  • Perform environmental investigations at sites with soil, groundwater, and soil vapor contamination.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze various types of geologic and hydrogeologic field and laboratory data.
  • Conduct remedial alternatives evaluations.
  • Assist with design and implementation of remediation systems, including oversight of site cleanups.
  • Assist project managers in developing recommendations for environmental strategies, remedial alternatives, and remediation designs.
  • Assist with preparation of technical reports, permit applications, and bid documents.
  • Coordinate with project team members and clients.

Competencies-What We Are Looking For

  • 3-5 years relevant experience and possess a BS or MS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or similar relevant education.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong record of academic achievement or professional experience in relevant areas such as geology, environmental engineering, contaminated site investigations, and/or remediation.
  • Mechanical aptitude and being comfortable with conducting field work are preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills combined with the flexibility to work with shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrate strong quantitative and observational skills.
  • Solid attention to detail and technical understanding is required.
  • Client-service orientation with the ability to anticipate needs and deliver to meet expectations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work well as a team member, with a collaborative communication style.
  • Additional consideration given to candidates with an EIT/FE certification
