OVERVIEW & IMPACT:

The EHS coordinator will support the SSI EHS team based in San Jose, California. The primary responsibility will be assisting the team with ensuring compliance with local, State and Federal regulations and creating a safe work environment.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with COVID-19 program management. Track and communicate EHS policies to all confirmed and close contact cases. Work collaboratively with HR-Operations on COVID-19 metrics and trend analysis. Manage notice of potential exposure communications for all SSI facilities. Manage COVID-19 testing supplies, PPE and other inventory items. Submit confirmed case data to COVID-19 labs. Maintain high data integrity.


  • Coordinate site fire-life safety inspections with various vendors. Maintain inspection records and provide reports to regulatory agencies, as necessary. Maintain site compliance calendar. Creation of site emergency guides.


  • Manage EHS SharePoint content. Update site content as directed by EHS staff. Approve daily test and visitor workflow requests. Partner with TI team on continuous improvement initiatives.


  • Support purchase request, vendor registration and invoice approvals.


  • Provide day-to-day EHS inbox support. Direct inquires to the appropriate party.


  • Collaborate with EHS Program Managers on LMS administration. Coordinate trainings with third party vendors. Follow-up with delinquent employees. Produce adhoc training reports and metrics.


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • You are a problem solver, team player and multi-tasker
  • Proven ability to find creative solutions
  • Proven ability to organize, summarize, clarify, and communicate ideas simply, succinctly, and accurately
  • Attention to detail, highly organized and able to maintain confidential information
  • You focus on quality over speed, but are responsive and understand a sense of urgency
  • Strong Excel experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication
