ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Safety:

• Practices safe work habits as an individual and with co-workers.
• Adheres to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Knows safety equipment and is aware of machine safety procedures.

Quality Assurance:

• Uses micrometer to determine proper size of input rod, wire in process and finished product. Ensures conformance to size and surface requirements.
• Documents production information on tally sheets: coil numbers, footage, wire sizes for each length, production downtime, die changes, wire breaks, etc.
• Tests and records quality data.
• Inputs information into computer and generates proper identification tag.

Operations:

• Works effectively in a team environment.
• Knows machine terminology and parts.
• Reads and understands Build Sheets.
• Knows and demonstrates set-up procedures including terminology and purpose.
• Organizes and performs changeovers.
• Performs machine startup and operation.
• Performs shift preparations.
• Makes accurate scrap and production entries.
• Trains other employees.

Housekeeping:

• Maintains a clean work area.

Other Duties:

• Demonstrates leadership skills.
• Participates on Company teams.
• Assists in the repair and maintenance of machines and facilities as required.
• Conducts equipment inspections.
• Assumes duties of other operators as required.
