Raytheon Intelligence and Space and Airborne Systems is seeking an Ergonomics Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to fill this temporary need. Candidate should have basic knowledge of human factors and ergonomics with the ability to analyze metrics. Additional on-site training will be provided. The selected candidate will have an opportunity to be a part of a large Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) organization. This position is 30-40 hours a week with flexible hours. Candidate will report to an EH&S site manager and will help support ergonomics and other EH&S initiatives across multiple site locations in North Texas.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Completion of ergonomic evaluations in manufacturing labs and office workstations
  • Interpretation of OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI standards and regulations
  • Support EH&S Manager and site Ergonomists for ergonomic initiatives as well as business-wide and corporate-wide ergonomic initiatives
  • Industrial and Computer workstation ergonomic evaluations. Includes report writing, furniture/equipment ordering, follow-ups, developing and implementing corrective actions.
  • Works with manufacturing and process engineers to design-in ergonomic principles
  • Investigates first aid and OSHA injuries to determine root cause and develop corrective actions and track to completion.
  • Supports on-site Medical Staff on the Return-To-Work program
  • Data analysis of leading and lagging performance indicators
  • Interfaces with equipment/furniture manufacturers and vendors
  • Supports Industrial Hygiene, Environmental, and Safety programs when needed.
  • Manage complex projects that ensure increased health and safety of Raytheon Intelligence and Space employees and contractors.
  • Development and implementation of strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement.

You’re highly skilled in:

  • Theoretical knowledge of Ergonomics in Environmental, Health and Safety
  • Must be well-organized and have excellent attention to detail and thoroughness with accomplishing tasks from inception through completion
  • Must have the ability to work with minimal supervision, but will not hesitate to ask for more-information from supervisors or peers so that task can be completed correctly

- Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in - English to a wide audience, including management and regulatory agencies.

  • Must be computer proficient including the use of Microsoft Office suite (Power Point, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Teams)
  • Must be able to pull metrics and understand trends.

You’re a great match with:

  • Experience in ergonomics, general safety, and industrial hygiene programs.
  • OSHA 10-Hour general industry training
  • Experienced in developing and conducting creative EHS training.

Education:

HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or enrolled in BA/BS program in lieu of experience

This position requires either a U.S. person or a non-U.S. person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization

This is a temporary position of an undetermined length.

The salary range for this role is 18.27/hr – 28/hr; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
