Job description
We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time project, Program Coordinator (ESPC2) position in our SharedWork unit, this position is a hybrid which requires part time in office work and part time telework. You will present outreach to businesses, partners, internal and/or external stakeholders in person or virtual. Our Shared Work is a flexible Unemployment Insurance (UI) program and can accommodate a variety of work situations that save jobs and money. The program allows businesses to reduce the work hours of an employer’s full-time workforce, while the workers collect partial unemployment benefits to replace a portion of their lost wages.
As the Program Coordinator for this project, you will present SharedWork information to businesses, partners, internal and/or external stakeholders in person or virtual. Provide outreach to businesses, stakeholders, internal and external partners to promote the SharedWork program. And you will provide SharedWork instructional training and procedural/technical support in the interpretation of state and federal guidelines; ensure understanding, accuracy, and adherence to state and federal laws, policies and procedures. As the project Program Coordinator, you will research, analyze, and interpret new and existing federal and state laws and legislation, rules and regulations; provide policy analysis, technical assistance, and consultation to internal and external customers\Establish and/or coordinate the design, preparation, and implementation of statewide user information systems, programs, and/or technical assistance plans as assigned.
On a Typical Day you will:
- Provide program-level consultation to internal and external customers.
- Disseminate program eligibility guidelines, compliance rules, qualifying criteria, and technical aspects to program customers/stakeholders.
- Coordinate and/or initiate communication with other programs and services.
- Provide technical assistance through a variety of dissemination methods; identify best practices and apply to program needs.
- Review and suggest process improvements
- Audit employer plans to assure they still meet requirement to have a SharedWork plan.
What You Bring:
The qualified candidate will have 1 or more of the following experiences and/or education:
Option 1: A combination of education and/or relevant experience equivalent to seven (7) years of professional or technical experience in employment and training or unemployment insurance programs. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted, year for year, for education.
Option 2: One (1) year of experience as an Employment Security Program Coordinator 1.
Option 3: One (1) year of experience as a WorkSource Specialist 3, Unemployment Specialist 3, or Tax Specialist 3 - ES or equivalent.
Education to Experience Equivalences:
Associate Degree = 2 years | Bachelor Degree = 4 years | Masters or Higher = 5 years
