Evening & Weekend Coordinator
Job description
HSVS is seeking enthusiastic and responsible candidates to join the Youth Development and Community Programs Team. The Evening/Weekend Coordinator is a part-time position responsible for supporting the Program Director by supervising evening and weekend programming. This position requires reliability, a positive attitude, and experience working with youth.
In addition to responsibilities below, performs all other duties as assigned.
Uses positive approaches when handling difficult situations. Avoids gossip and negative discussions. Remains flexible and adapts to change.
Serves as role model for program participants. Abides dress code. Conducts self in a professional manner at all times.
Remains sensitive and responsive to cultural differences of program participants and staff.
Participates in in-service trainings and on-site workshops as required for professional growth and development. Attends external trainings and workshops at direction of management.
Represents the organization both within and outside of the work environment in a manner that promotes the mission, vision and values of the agency. Personally, adheres to organizational mission, vision and values, in addition to all other agency policies and procedures.
Support evening and weekend programming and ensure all participants are safe.
Maintain safety throughout facility and programming.
Interact positively and proactively with children, youth and adults.
Contribute to the development of evening and weekend programming.
Greet, offer tours, and program information to evening and weekend attendees.
Reinforce the values and commitment of HSVS and ensure that the Community Center is a safe and welcoming facility to those who enter.
Create and maintain a schedule with the Program Director.
Coordinate and implement outreach activities to increase evening/ weekend program enrollment, including community events and workshops.
Complete and document closing procedure. Confirm with the supervisor when the building is empty, locked and closed.
High School Diploma.
Availability on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays.
Must enjoy working with youth and families of all ages.
Reliable, organized and receptive to feedback.
