About Spring House Restaurant, Kitchen & Bar
Our restaurant & event venue opened in April 2012 in the former Bahnson House, a gracious 1920 residence in downtown Winston-Salem listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Under the leadership of Chef Timothy Grandinetti, the culinary team creates Southern-style deliciousness “in cadence with Mother Nature”, a philosophy that stems from made from scratch, inventive and seasonally-inspired dishes featuring ingredients from local producers.
Guests can enjoy our many dining rooms throughout the house or on our garden patio for dinner or simply stop by for a cocktail and appetizer in our cozy Library Bar, where you’ll find a fresh focus on craft cocktails, wine and American craft-brewed beers.

· Must possess basic computer skills and ability to use all Microsoft office functions with ease.
· Two+ years of experience in a serving position, hosting position, or bartending position (fine dining environment) is required.
· Experience working in a management role in hospitality is preferred.
· A working knowledge of the event industry and local events market is desired.
· Applicant for this position must be physically fit with the ability to go up and down stairs, carry 25 pound objects, and able to assist with set-up for larger events.
Position Roles & Tasks:
· Work directly with the Events Manager to ensure the restaurant is set-up properly each day for our reservations/events.
· Clearly understand each event by reviewing the Banquet Event Orders with the Events Manager.
· Assist the Events Manager in confirming reservations and events, inputting event reservations and a la carte reservations into Open Table.
· Learn basics of event planning at Spring House, calendar management, and use of our event software Tripleseat. Will need to be able to assist with planning on an as needed basis.
· Lead the staff each day in knowing the priorities for the shift.
· Direct the team in set-up and direction for each event.
· Manage the Host Stand team and ensure Spring House standards of professionalism and hospitality are displayed in the way that phones are answered, guests are greeted, and guests are seated.
· Greet event guests and ensure that things operate smoothly for their event.
· Learn our Point-of-Sale system Toast, to be able to ring orders and offer management support.
· Provide management support to the staff through troubleshooting any problems that arise during the shift.
· Be willing to pitch in when and where needed with restaurant tasks. For example (but certainly not limited to) running food, sweeping patios, tidying restrooms, dusting, running errands, etc.
· Applicant must possess a current driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
· This position is part-time – full time with an expected 24-30 hours a week required and the potential for additional hours on an as needed basis. Set work days and hours will be Wednesday – Saturday 3pm - 9pm with additional days and hours on an as needed basis.
· Compensation will be an hourly rate that is commensurate with experience plus a commission structure.
