Job Description: The Event Host is responsible for the various duties during Sunday Worship and event rentals.

Terms of Employment: You will be paid $20 an hour, less applicable deductions, and withholdings, which will be paid semi-monthly in accordance with the FPCPA’s normal payroll procedures. This is a part-time position requiring about 3 hours per Sunday, plus some hour to be scheduled on an as needed basis.

Supervisor: Pastor/Head of Staff

Performance Review: A review will be conducted annually.

Duties and Responsibilities: as the incumbent of this position, you will

Host Sunday Worship, Memorial Services, and Events

○ Unlock the sanctuary doors, opening the main doors on Sundays, Memorials, and for special events as requested.

○ Open windows in the sanctuary, turn on the lights.

○ Prepare coffee and hot water containers, set out teas and condiments.

○ Be available to support staff in the event of the unexpected.

Close up

○ After the crowd has thinned, store the coffee/water cart.

○ Close windows and turn off the sanctuary lights.

○ Close and lock sanctuary and office doors.

○ Go through the sanctuary and pick up bulletins and rubbish

○ Carry Communion elements to the church kitchen

● In an emergency be prepared to call 911 with the nature of the emergency and church address.

• Palo Alto, CA 94301: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
