Position Overview

The Producer is accountable for the successful planning, management, and execution of production events. The Program Producer implements processes and SOPs that drive consistency in event execution, while identifying, resolving, escalating operational problems and optimizing the deployment of production resources. The Producer partners with senior production staff to execute elements of complex shows. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers once the handoff from a seller has been completed. The Producer reports to the VP Production.

Key Job Responsibilities

Organizational Leadership

  • Execute all Program Production functions necessary to deliver events at the highest levels of production efficiencies within budget, scope and timeline.
  • Properly reconcile events, specifically delivering a wrap report and ensuring that all administrative data and paperwork has been entered, submitted, cross checked, and reconciled across the entire project.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels of their organization and provide outstanding customer service while focusing on client retention.
  • Responsible for compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Technical Standards and Production Standards.
  • Support, sponsor and execute all company initiatives.
  • Communicate goals and objectives to Event Execution team members clearly and frequently.
  • Lead by example in portraying a polished, professional image in accordance with the standards set forth in the PSAV team member guidebook.

Financial Management

  • Assist in the creation, analysis, and execution of the project budget, partnering with regional leadership to mitigate external workforce and sub-rental spend.
  • Manage event costs to align with budget and ensure all onsite changes are communicated location leadership
  • Assist with the completion of post-event client invoice. Work with operations management to ensure the prompt payment of all external vendors
  • Ensure compliance with Encore Policies and Procedures to minimize company’s exposure to liability claims and property damage, theft and misappropriation.

Production Management

  • Provides direct supervision of team members including scheduling and time keeping
  • Manages inventory control procedures to maintain proper inventory levels while also maintaining safety, security, and quality assurance of equipment.
  • Prepare and communicate technical production & labor schedules, sub-rental requirements, project scope, execution plan and individual responsibilities to team members, vendors and venue partners.
  • Determine and secure the resources required to successfully complete each project.
  • Assist with the creation of technical diagrams when required VectorWorks 2022 is utilized in this position.
  • Attends BEO, Pre-Cons, and pre-production meetings as needed.
  • Reviews quotes and provides recommendations for cost efficiencies in accordance with the company’s standard operating procedures.
  • Supervises and mentors operational staff to ensure client satisfaction
  • Provides outstanding customer service by establishing excellent working relationships with internal and external clients, team members, neighboring Encore properties and all vendors. Mentors Technicians to also provide this superior level of customer service.

Event Execution

  • Act as the project leader and onsite contact for the client throughout the event.
  • Manage all phases of event technical execution from load-in through run of show to load-out.
  • Assume ownership of inventory management throughout the event.
  • Communicate the project plan and client expectations to event team.
  • Manage onsite changes, including schedule, equipment or workforce modifications.
  • Mentor and communicate with Encore Team Members on event execution and best practices to help improve the local knowledge base and experience in the market.
  • Ensure compliance with established Technical Standards and Production Standards.
  • Follow up with clients on-site to ensure that their needs are met and the equipment setup is working properly.

People Development & Training

  • Promotes and reinforces a positive working environment centered on Encore core values.
  • Hire, develop, lead and motivate a talented team of technicians and operational support staff.
  • Promote and drive professional development and training efforts to improve overall business acumen, technical knowledge and service to the field.
  • Manage human resource related issues including performance management, salary administration and training and development.
  • Effectively utilizes applicable company computer systems and software programs and ensure team members are properly trained.
  • Registers and recommends team members for additional training opportunities as needed
  • Responsible for assembling a team for show production, assigning responsibilities, setting expectations, and executing the event.
  • Responsible for addressing client needs by organizing client meetings, creating and maintaining detailed show documentation and responding to client concerns and questions in a timely fashion.
  • Required to have familiarity with all new and existing equipment and services within or rented for the venue.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of technical production and show experience in corporate staging or broadcast industry required. Project Management experience preferred
  • Technical diagram knowledge / experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills including written, oral and presentation.
  • Ability to listen carefully, responds intelligently, and follows up appropriately and consistently.
  • Position requires computer knowledge.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable and team oriented.
  • Detail and service oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines.

For Colorado based roles, the approximate salary range is based on skills & experience $73,492.00-$106,563.00 per year with bonus opportunity.
