The Charmery is Charm City’s local hand-crafted ice cream shop and is looking for fun-loving people to be a part of our Events Team!
We scoop some of your favorite classics, like Maryland Mud, Ice Cream Sando, Mint Mountain and have fun with the flavors that make Baltimore so delicious, like Old Bay Caramel.
Event Scooper
The Charmery’s Event Scooper provides consistent, outstanding service to every client; has an eye for detail, a willingness to adapt, and the ability to work in an exciting, fast-paced environment. Event Shifts can vary depending on what Ice Cream Socials or Festivals we have on our schedule, but shifts generally last 3-4 hours. Our shifts vary between weekdays, weeknights and weekends - flexibility and a driver’s license are highly preferred.
*This position handles several common food allergens including peanuts, nuts and dairy.*

Responsibilities:
- Pack and transport food, tables and other items needed to serve ice cream during an event to ensure that the event moves smoothly and efficiently
- Deliver great service
- Make every customer feel special and be of service to all while servicing all the guests in the alloted time
- Learn and then share about what makes partying with The Charmery so amazing: our ice cream and our people!
- Hustle and work hard to keep the table sparkling, clean, and inviting - front and back, inside and outside
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Pack up events in a neat but efficient manner
- Unpack and put away any leftover ice cream and event supplies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Open to working in a strong team environment
- Have great communication skills and a professionally friendly attitude
- Willingness to travel to different places for events
- Retail or client/customer service experience preferred
- Be able to work flexible hours throughout the week, event timing can vary
- Willingness to pick up shifts in other shops on occasion is preferred
- Ability to lift 30 lbs on a regular basis
- Have access to a phone that can text and call
- Have access to the internet
- Valid driver’s license preferred
