Summary:
Provides audio-visual services at various events and venues of The Corning Museum of Glass (Museum). Delivers, supports, and maintains the audio-visual functions for all events, Under the direction of the Events Production and Program Manager (EPPM), assists with inventory control of audio-visual equipment including spare stock. Serves as day-to-day contact for temporary production technicians.
Responsibilities:
Technical Production Support
- Delivers and sets up audio-visual equipment for all assigned events, with both internal and external event customers, onsite at the Museum.
- Provides audio visual support to all assigned internal and external events as required by the event customer.
- Ensures that all auditorium and other event spaces’ equipment is in satisfactory working order and alerts EPPM of needed repairs.
- Assists in the repairs and upgrades of audio-visual and theatrical equipment and audio-visual systems, as directed by the EPPM.
- Maintains all audio and visual systems within the Museum event spaces including audio, lighting, projectors, screens, monitors, portable equipment and all auditorium systems.
- With the EPPM and in the absence of the EPPM, coordinates the work of the temporary production technicians; assists in their training and scheduling, answers questions and serves as their day-to-day contact.
- Works closely with the Event Planners on all assigned facility events regarding audio visual and lighting systems, and overall event flow
- Collaborates with and assists the Digital Media Team to support identified and approved projects whether initiated by Events or Digital.
- Arranges outside audio visual vendor equipment and staging for meetings and events.
- Works with customers and in-house staff to ensure that proper specifications are met; participates in set-up and tear-down of audio-visual equipment for all scheduled meetings and events.
- Assists event customers with preparation of all presentation materials needed for meetings and events.
- Responds to event customers’ questions before, during and after an event in a professional and timely manner; provides complete and accurate information.
- Assists in maintaining Standard Operating Procedure documentation and training materials for audio-visual equipment.
General

- Protects and controls all Museum assets against theft and damage.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times related to customer and vendor proprietary information.
- Maintains current knowledge in the audio-visual field.
- Proactively works the hours necessary to fulfill job requirements.
- Actively participates in Events team meetings and contributes creative ideas and solutions, as required.
- Serves as a member of matrix teams or work groups, as appropriate.
Qualifications:

- Three (3) years’ experience (including live meeting support) and excellent knowledge of audiovisual systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in audio-visual or related field desired.
- Knowledge of and experience with MS Office and Cloud services including Office 365 and OneDrive, SharePoint and MS Teams; ability to learn new job-related software programs.
- Solid experience in the setup and operation of a wide variety of audio-visual equipment.
- Demonstrated proficiency testing new audio-visual equipment, troubleshooting for issues, and making repairs.
- Proficiency in creating user training materials; experience training end users.
- Strong interpersonal skills; works effectively and professionally with people at all levels, including external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating on the status of all projects, repair and support activities.
- Excellent customer service orientation and skills.
- Successfully handles multiple projects and tasks under the pressure of deadlines; resourceful mindset and flexible.
- Frequent weekends, evenings and holidays required; flexibility in hours necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 per year
