OPPORTUNITY:

Love INC (In the Name of Christ) Newberg seeks an Executive Director to fundraise, maintain a solid relationship with over 20 diverse partner churches, and oversee organizational operations, including administrative, office management and human resources.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Supervise and implement fundraising to support and expand the organization, which includes creating and executing an annual fundraising plan and securing financial support from individuals, foundations and businesses. Writing effective grant proposals is a necessity, as is preserving relationships with donors, churches, and key stakeholders.

- Manage business operations, including supervision and management of staff, working with staff to gain an in-depth understanding of operations, practices and needs in order to evaluate budget, innovate ministry strategies, and resolve problems.

-Experience with Google Suite, word processing software, and Excel.

- Cultivate partnerships with churches, businesses, agencies and individuals to support and expand Love INC’s mission.

- Support and develop the Board of Directors while working with the Board and staff to identify goals and objectives of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- A Christian and in agreement with the Love INC Statement of Faith and its Mission.

- Able to relate across denominational lines and foster unity

- A minimum of 5 years administrative management experience (nonprofit experience preferred)

- A minimum of 3 years development experience with a proven track record of consistently reaching fundraising goals through a variety of activities

- Excellent relational and communication skills, both oral and written

- Experience in effective staff supervision and human resources laws, policies and procedures

- An understanding of the Newberg area and people in need is a plus

COMPENSATION:

Salary range $$39,000 per year, based on experience

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose: Give direction, leadership and oversight toward the achievement of the vision, mission and model of Love in the Name of Christ. Develop, implement and manage the strategic goals and objectives of Love INC. Ensure the affiliate operates according to Love INC National best practices.

Responsibilities:

-Provide spiritual leadership and exhibit spiritual maturity, integrity and a commitment to personal transformation

- Support the operation and administration of the Board of Directors by advising and informing board members of ministry activity, issues and accomplishments.

- Cultivate and nurture relationships with area pastors, churches, church staff and volunteers.

- Cultivate and nurture relationships with community agency directors and staff and the business community

- Oversee the development, delivery and quality of all programs, services, and initiatives

- Oversee monitoring and evaluation of ministry impact

- Mobilize churches to respond to person-to-person needs. Meet on a continuing basis with pastors and church leaders to help them understand their ownership of and involvement in the Love INC ministry; serve and nurture partner churches

- Oversee the Love INC clearinghouse, program operation, and ministry impact; includes supervision of the Clearinghouse Coordinator/Program Manager, staff, ministry program leaders, and all volunteers

- Effectively manage human resources (volunteers and staff), ensuring sound administrative practices, human resource management, personnel policies, and procedures.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $39,000.00 per year
