Job description

The extractions technician will work as a key member of our state-of-the-art legal cannabis manufacturing department to produce concentrate varieties that consistently meet state testing protocol, at scale within the allotted time. Effective team members communicate clearly with the Lab Manager and teammates. Extraction associates must have a strong entrepreneurial and ownership mindset and a desire to make a deep impact and contribute to the continued success of a rapidly growing business. This is ideal for goal-oriented individuals who are comfortable with the cannabis industry and who appreciate the growth potential that it presents. Candidates with prior lab experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities

• Identify strain characteristics for different extraction types
• Organize concentrate timeline
• Responsible for proper lab testing and tracking, including remediation of failed material
• Maintain clean, organized space
• Strict adherence to SOPs and sign-off of same
• Support and investigate process improvements
• Document process parameters daily
• Procure materials for lab operation
• Understand and interpret COAs from MCR
• Proficiency in METRC and Flow tracking
• Maintenance of equipment, including updating logs
• Operate with Monthly Make List in mind
• Communicate with various external vendors
• Conduct solvent extractions based on starting material and targeted end product

Requirements*

• Background and experience in food production, laboratory work or other related fields
• The ability to perform under pressure to meet production goals while also strictly adhering to all necessary sanitation procedures to ensure the quality of our medicine
• A mastery of attention to detail and organizational skills in order to manage multiple, concurrent work streams
• A general knowledge of computer operating systems and applications including Excel and GSuite
• A passionate disposition towards cannabis and taking care of other people
• Proactive and responsive, with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Punctual with willingness for overtime
• Encouraging, positive attitude at work
• Can pass criminal background checks typically required by state cannabis regulations
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, cutting and fine manipulation
• Ability to multi-task with excellent follow through skills
• High-energy, enthusiasm and the willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
• Ability to visually examine products for quality and signage/labeling accuracy
• At least 21 years of age
