Glorietta Restaurant located in Anvil Hotel, is looking for a responsible F&B Floor Supervisor!
Glorietta is an Italian Trattoria where the focus is handmade pasta and wood-fired cooking with expertly crafted cocktails and a value-oriented cellar of incredible Italian wines. When possible, the menu folds in local ingredients to create curiously delicious meals all while paying homage to Italy.
As a F&B Floor Supervisor, you will Supervise the service and delivery of menu items in assigned restaurant ensuring a high level of quality and consistency. Adhere to federal, state and local regulations concerning health safety or other compliance requirements.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Oversee cash handling and check/credit policies and procedures
  • Train and schedule employees to ensure proper coverage. Monitor performance and recommend corrective action. Alert management of potentially serious issues.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
  • Respond in a prompt and professional manner to guest requests and complaints. Make appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction.
  • May routinely greet guests, serve food and beverage, and take reservations and maintain reservations book if applicable.
  • Inspect restaurant daily to ensure high quality food and food presentation and cleanliness.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to inform staff of daily events. Review daily specials.
  • Ensure side work duties are complete and tables are set before, during and after operating hours
  • To promote and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
  • To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
  • Focus on safety and the following of safe work practices by yourself and those under your direction. Including compliance with company safety standards, and state and local regulations that pertain to your department.
  • To attend all mandatory meetings as directed.
  • To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Essential Experience:
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and two-years food service experience in a full-service restaurant or similar setting. Some college or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiar with OSHA, SB198, local Department of Health regulations, state liquor laws and relevant current laws governing handling of hazardous substance.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of all aspects of restaurant and bar operations, and have an overall knowledge of foods and beverages, and service standards and procedures.
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
  • Must be computer literate with a knowledge of Word and Excel.

  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with customers and employees
  • Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when completing paperwork, scheduling, and giving and receiving instructions.
  • Mathematical skills, including basic math, cash handling, are utilized frequently.
  • Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often.
  • Demonstrated ability to train staff and ensure high standards of customer service.
  • Possess a courteous, friendly and professional manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good team player.
  • Ability to effectively manage staff to maintain a high level of morale and productivity.
  • Must be organized, efficient and meet high quality standards for service.
Essential Physical Abilities:
  • Occasionally required to handle and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. over short distances.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure.
  • Flexibility required to work long, sometimes irregular hours.
